The 2015 Honda CR-V and 2016 HR-V are rated as the top small and subcompact SUVs as of June 2015 by news service U.S. News and World Report.

Honda CR-V earns praise from the reviewers aggregated by U.S. News and World Report on the basis of its roomy cabin, low overall cost of ownership and array of standard equipment. The CR-V's four-cylinder engine helps this SUV's fuel economy remain high while providing adequate power. The HR-V is a newer subcompact offering from Honda that is praised for many of the same attributes as the CR-V, including a particularly large amount of interior space for the class. However, reviewers are less pleased with the acceleration provided by the four-cylinder engine used in the HR-V as compared to the one used in the CR-V.
