The CR-V's four-cylinder engine helps this SUV's fuel economy remain high while providing adequate power. The HR-V is a newer subcompact offering from Honda that is praised for many of the same attributes as the CR-V, including a particularly large amount of interior space for the class. However, reviewers are less pleased with the acceleration provided by the four-cylinder engine used in the HR-V as compared to the one used in the CR-V.
